Participants will learn how to choose and perform the perfect monologue or song, tackle cold readings at a call back with ease, and make strong character choices.

This workshop answers all your questions, focusing on vocal technique, physicality, and emotional connection. You'll leave with invaluable tips for impressing directors and casting teams. Perfect for performers of all levels looking to nail their next audition!

*Parents are welcome to attend and observe quietly.  Students may not sit with parents--they must be interacting with the workshop students and instructor.

Laura Baltz

Laura Baltz began her love of theatre at a very young age when her mother took her to see “The Sound of Music.” She was hooked! Since appearing on stage almost immediately, and she’s never looked back.

Laura's theater background includes portraying Miss Hannigan in "Broadway's Annie," Anelle AND Truvy in Steel Magnolias (two separate runs!), and Ralphie's mother in A Christmas Story. Laura has directed both children and adults at multiple theaters throughout Indiana and Illinois.

When not in a theater, Laura is happiest on a boat. She loves dogs, vintage VW bugs, and believes The Point kids are the best people on the gosh darned planet.
