Bring on the Pink Drinks! One of the best parts of being in a show is the excitement of the first table read. Well, let's do that! Join us at Starbucks to sip Frappuccinos and read through a play.
For this class, we'll read Holy Mother of Bingo by Patrick Walsh. An innocent bingo fundraiser at the Our Mother of Mercy church goes awry when parishioners mysteriously drop dead! The evidence suggests well-calculated murders, but who is to blame? Tensions rise as everyone begins identifying suspects. Past feuds rear their heads as the members of the parish try to state their innocence one by one. Who could be behind the elaborate spree? The disgruntled choir director? The magician turned youth minister? The ex-convict that has recently turned to the power of prayer? It couldn’t be one of the Cookie Cadets selling their beloved cookies! Everyone’s a suspect...
Students should bring a laptop or tablet to read this funny script.

Your Fearless Leader:
Laura Baltz
Laura Baltz began her love of theatre at a very young age when her mother took her to see “The Sound of Music.” She was hooked! Since appearing on stage almost immediately, and she’s never looked back.
Laura's theater background includes portraying Miss Hannigan in "Broadway's Annie," Anelle AND Truvy in Steel Magnolias (two separate runs!), and Ralphie's mother in A Christmas Story. Laura has directed both children and adults at multiple theaters throughout Indiana and Illinois.
When not in a theater, Laura is happiest on a boat. She loves dogs, vintage VW bugs, and believes The Point kids are the best people on the gosh darned planet.
