Jazz is a style of dance that can be found in many musicals, and it can be altered to fit the different time periods in which a musical might take place. We will learn a stylized version to Welcome to the 60's from the musical Hairspray!

Heather Lash

Heather Lash is a graduate of Ball State University and began dancing at the age of 3 and has studied tap, ballet, jazz, pointe, and modern.  She has taken classes with Gus Giordano and at Luigi’s Jazz Center in New York.  Heather taught various styles of dance at Performer’s Edge for over 20 years and served as choreographer for Cathedral High School for 24 years. In addition, she has performed in shows at Beef and Boards, Civic Theatre, Footlite Musicals, and The Phoenix Theatre.
