Bring on the Pink Drinks! One of the best parts of being in a show is the excitement of the first table read. Well, let's do that! Join us at Starbucks to sip Frappuccinos and read through a play. 

For this class, we'll read The 12 Hangry Jurors by Steven Hayet. After hours of heated deliberation, twelve jurors still struggle to come to a consensus...  on what to order for lunch.  This parody of the classic courtroom drama will have audiences rolling in the aisles and asking all the tough questions, like ”Are there vegetarian options?”  Justice cannot be served on an empty stomach!

Students should bring a laptop or tablet to read this funny script.

Laura Baltz

Laura Baltz began her love of theatre at a very young age when her mother took her to see “The Sound of Music.” She was hooked! Since appearing on stage almost immediately, and she’s never looked back.

Laura's theater background includes portraying Miss Hannigan in "Broadway's Annie," Anelle AND Truvy in Steel Magnolias (two separate runs!), and Ralphie's mother in A Christmas Story. Laura has directed both children and adults at multiple theaters throughout Indiana and Illinois.

When not in a theater, Laura is happiest on a boat. She loves dogs, vintage VW bugs, and believes The Point kids are the best people on the gosh darned planet.
